April at Gate Ministries Douglas has been a month filled with hope, renewal, and the power of resurrection. Every year, the Easter season calls us back to the central truth of our faith: Jesus Christ is alive! But this year, more than ever, we have experienced what it means to not just celebrate His resurrection as an event in history, but to live it as a present reality.
Our Easter gatherings reminded us that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us (Romans 8:11). This means we walk in victory over sin, fear, and defeat. Many of us came into this month carrying burdens, facing battles, or struggling with weariness, but through worship and the Word, we were reminded that resurrection is not just about an empty tomb—it is about transformed lives.
In April, we also turned our attention to outreach. We believe resurrection power is meant to be shared. Through acts of kindness, community service, and prayer for those in need, we extended the hope of Christ to those who may feel forgotten. Just as Jesus brought life to those around Him, we too are called to be agents of life and light in our neighborhoods.
Families in our congregation gathered to celebrate Easter Sunday, not just as a tradition, but as a testimony that Christ has risen and is still transforming hearts today. Testimonies of healing, restored faith, and renewed purpose flowed throughout the month. God is moving among us!
April also reminded us that resurrection calls for response. We cannot live as though the cross and empty tomb were just stories from long ago. Instead, we are called to live with boldness, faith, and confidence in Christ’s victory. Whether through personal devotion, ministry involvement, or service to others, we are all challenged to rise into the newness of life that God provides.
As we look forward to the coming months, we carry the theme of resurrection with us. This is not a seasonal message—it is a lifelong truth. Christ’s victory is our victory, and because He lives, we too shall live abundantly.
“Because I live, you also will live.” – John 14:19
